Folks:
I'm pleased to announce that Sean Gleeson is the winner of the TTLB logo contest. Sean has brought both Mr. Bear and Lady M to life splendidly, and I am now working him to develop a final version of the logo which will be used in the --- coming soon --- relaunched version of TTLB.
My thanks to everyone who submitted entries, and congratulations once again to Sean!
If you're in the LA area tonight, consider dropping by LA Center Studios to check out Instant Films, an intriguing film festival / contest in which filmmakers are given 48 hours to go from concept to finished product.
The contestants were given a story idea Thursday night, submitted their scripts yesterday, and by now should be putting the finishing touches on their films for presentation tonight. And yes, they're blogging the experience (natch).
Tickets are $10 online and the event is at the LA Center Studios on 450 S. Bixel.
An old friend is competing in this evening's edition, and it sounds like a blast. I unfortunately can't make it, but that shouldn't stop you!
From The Huffington Post's User Service Agreement:
"WE DO NOT MAKE ANY REPRESENTATIONS, NOR DO WE ENDORSE THE ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, TIMELINESS OR RELIABILITY OF ANY ADVICE, OPINION, STATEMENT OR OTHER MATERIAL OR DATABASE DISPLAYED, UPLOADED OR DISTRIBUTED IN THIS SERVICE OR AVAILABLE THOUGH LINKS IN THIS SERVICE."
Honesty is good! CBS, NYT, etc., please take notes.
And if you haven't read the full user agreement, you should, because I suspect there may be a quiz. And because, well...damn.
P.S.: To my deep dismay, a full week into the launch and Ms. A hasn't had her minions add HufPo to the Ecosystem. So I did it for her. Stay tuned here and let's see how they evolve.
P.P.S.: But no SiteMeter counter! Come on, Arianna, show us your traffic...
Folks:
Last call for entries in the TTLB logo contest. I've received a few new entries over the past few days, so check out the display page to see them in all their glory.
The contest will offically close at 12 noon PDT tomorrow, so if you've been holding out, it's now or never!
